Tour Details

  • Day 01 : Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa – Humantay – Salkantaypampa.:
    • Pick up at the hotel around 04:30 a.m. to start the trip to Marcoccasa.
    • Pass through the village of Mollepata (3000 m.a.s.l.).
    • Arriving at Mollepata you will contact the support staff muleteer and horses.
    • In Marcoccasa the trek begins in a magnificent valley surrounded by impressive mountains with eternal snow, such as the Humantay at 5217 masl, and the snowy Salkantay at 6264 masl.
    • A visit to the Humantay Lagoon (4,220) is considered one of the most beautiful in the trek for its blue-green waters that reflect the surrounding mountains.
    • Our first camp will be at Salkantay pampa (3900 masl).
    • Hiking Time: 6 to 7 hours.
  • Day 02: Salkantay Pampa – Huayracmachay – Challway:
    • After breakfast, we will leave to the highest point of the road to the Salkantay snow-capped peak (4650 masl) which offers an exceptional view with its valleys and spectacular views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks.
    • After enjoying the wonderful view of the snowy Salkantay, the descent begins and you will have time to enjoy the vegetation and the ecosystem, rest, and have lunch in Huayracmachay.
    • Resume the hike to the town of Chaullay, changing the landscape from mountains to vegetation where you can see fruit plantations, vegetation, forests, and a tropical climate.
    • The second camp will be in Challway, in the middle of the rainforest.
    • Hiking Time: 6 to 7 hours.
  • Day 03: Challway – Wiñaypoco – La Playa -Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes.:
    • After breakfast, the start the hike in the middle of flora and fauna, and low jungle vegetation, and observe waterfalls, coffee plantations, and fruit trees. 
    • Descend to the area of the beach to board mobility and go to the area called Hydroelectric.
    • Continuing the adventure you will continue to the town of Aguas Calientes (duration of the walk 02 hours).
    • Arriving at the village, you will go to the designated hotel in Aguas Calientes, accommodation, and brief rest.
    • After some time to relax, you will go to the restaurant to have dinner.
  • Day 04: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Ollantaytambo – Cusco.:
    • Start the day, by walking through the mountain until you reach the citadel of Machupicchu, which approximately time of 01 hours.
    • Entrance to the citadel of Machupicchu.
      Guided visit for 02 hours.
    • Bus down to the town of Aguas Calientes.
      Train ticket back to Ollantaytambo.
    • Transfer from Ollantaytambo to Cusco, to the hotel designated by you.

  • Additional information:
    • Reservations must be made at least 1 month in advance.
    • All personal information is required to proceed with the reservation. 
    • The participant must carry his/her own backpack during the Inca Trail (including a sleeping bag and mat). 
    • If for any eventuality the passenger cancels the service or desists from continuing on the trek, 100% of the service will not be refunded, except for the entrance fee to Machupicchu and the train ticket from Aguas Calientes to Cusco).       
    • The participant must declare if he/she has any illness or personal treatment, and must bring his/her own medication. 
    • The agency will not be responsible for natural problems (landslides) or other problems, in case of strikes and delayed train departures. 
    • All participants must bring their original passports.  
    • If the visitor is a student, he/she must bring his/her student card validated by the educational institution of his/her country, it is only accepted until 25 years old.

How do I prepare myself?

For security reasons it is recommended that you use a certain amount of cash for minor purchases or to acquire any souvenirs or details that the visitor may be interested in. In the city of Cusco the great majority of businesses, use payments with credit or debit cards the case, likewise, there are many agents, banks, and exchange houses, which you can access to remove money without any inconvenience.

How much luggage can I take?

Cusco is a city with a very varied climate, in the months of November to February, are known as the rainy season, the months of May until the end of July are the cold season, and the remaining months are warmer and with better weather. For this reason, it is recommended that visitors wear warm clothing on the tours they take, and always carry sunscreen, light clothing, comfortable shoes for walking, and what is necessary to enjoy the trip to the fullest.
