Description of the Program.

It is a tour integrated in all the city of Cusco, you can enjoy the most outstanding places to visit in the city, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and of course the Historical Sanctuary of Machupicchu. The prices are considered to include hotel, transfers, guides and transportation in all the places to visit. You can ask about our special groups that leave on specific dates, to take advantage of special promotions and discounts.

Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Reception and Transfer – City Tour in Cusco (Half Day):
    • Reception at Cusco airport.
    • Transfer from the airport to the designated hotel.
    • 13:00 Contact the hotel by our guide to join the group and start the tour.
    • First, you will be transferred to the Basilica Cathedral of Cusco, a guided tour of approximately 45 minutes.
    • Continuing the tour, you will go to the temple of Koricancha or also called the Temple of Santo Domingo, where you can appreciate the different temples dedicated to the deities of the Inca Empire.
    • At the end of the tour, you will go by bus to the 03 most important archaeological groups near the city, such as Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, and Tambomachay, guided visit to each of the places.
    • Once the tour is finished, you will return to the city.
    • Optional, in the evening (independently could attend the Qosqo Native Art Center, where they offer dance and music shows of Peru).
  • Day 02 : Sacred Valley – Overnight in Aguas Calientes Village (01 Night):
    • 07:45 Contact at the hotel by our guide, to join the tour group.
    • Beginning of the tour by tourist bus to the Sacred Valley.
    • During the tour you will observe beautiful landscapes surrounded by the Peruvian Andes and surrounding snow-capped mountains.
    • Arriving at the first stop, you will visit the agricultural laboratory of Moray, guided visit.
    • Continuing the trip you will visit the salt mines of Maras, where you will be able to observe more than 3000 salt ponds, still in use today.
    • After enjoying a wonderful landscape, you will continue your trip to the town of Ollantaytambo, where you will visit the fortress of the same name, a place that is considered one of the most important archaeological remains in the Sacred Valley.
    • Culminating you will have lunch in a tourist restaurant in the area.
    • In the afternoon, you will go to the train station for your trip by tourist train to the town of Aguas Calientes.
    • After 01:45hr. of trip observing the wonderful landscape you will arrive to the mentioned town and our guide will be waiting for you to take you to the designated hotel (at your own expense).
    • Contact with the guide for the explanation prior to your visit to Machupicchu.
  • Day 03 : Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Return to Cusco.:
    • Early breakfast at your hotel.
    • Then you will go to the bus station to start the bus trip to Machupicchu Sanctuary.
    • After 30 minutes of travel, you will have the entrance to the citadel of Machupicchu.
    • Guided visit for approximately 02 hours.
    • At the end of the visit, you will take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes.
    • You will have free time to have lunch on your own.
    • 30 minutes before departure time, you will have to be at the train station.
    • At the indicated time departure by tourist train from Aguas Calientes to the town of Ollantaytambo or to the city of Cusco.
    • Upon arrival transfer from the station to your hotel.
  • Day 04: Return Trip To Hometown:
    • Transfer from hotel to airport in Cusco.

    • 01 Buffet lunch in the Sacred Valley.
    • Tourist train ticket from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes town.

How do I prepare myself?

Travelers visiting the city of Cusco should take into consideration the issue of altitude. How much luggage can I take?

Cusco is a city with a very varied climate, in the months of November to February, are known as the rainy season, the months of May until the end of July are the cold season, and the remaining months are warmer and with better weather. For this reason, it is recommended that visitors wear warm clothing on the tours they take, and always carry sunscreen, light clothing, comfortable shoes for walking, and what is necessary to enjoy the trip to the fullest.
